Giving back

We like to see our restaurants as an integral part of the social and economic fabric of their communities. That gives us an opportunity to have a positive impact and since 2002 we’ve endeavoured to make a difference financially and in kind.

If you run a local charity that is looking for support, or would like a prize for a fundraising initiative, please contact Kat Grant: [email protected]

We have raised £41,976 up to December 2022, including these major contributions:

HERTFORDSHIRE CHARITIES

We are passionate about working with local charities. In the past these have included Herts Young Homeless, Youth Talk and The Muscle Help Foundation.

During Covid

Throughout the lockdowns we were determined to support – in whatever way possible – those who were having an even tougher time than ourselves and we pledged to donate 2p per item every time the Lussmanns To Go service made a delivery to the home of a customer. We are very proud to have raised £2,000 in this way for the Trussell Trust, working to stop UK hunger and poverty through a network of foodbanks providing emergency food and support to people in crisis, which is passing this money on to a local foodbank.

Save the Sea

Since 2019 we have been working for the campaign Save the Sea, which is centred around World Oceans Day and is part of the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF). Our Founder Andrei Lussmann is proud to be this organisation’s Ambassador for Illegal Fishing. Lussmanns is committed to helping ensure our oceans can sustain people and fish stocks for generations to come and Andrei Lussmann is delighted to be a spokesperson for EJF’s Save the Sea campaign.

THE BUMBLEBEE CONSERVATION TRUST

This charity is doing crucial work to protect bumblebees, which are an integral part of the ecosystem, pollinating our crops and wildflowers. In the last 80 years our bumblebee populations have crashed and two species have become nationally extinct, while several others have declined dramatically. Lussmanns was very proud to support this charity and help protect our much-loved bumblebees during 2016.
